Contributing

Code, documentation, and money are all needed to continue software development.

Submitting Code

Submitting code is very easy. Because this is maintained using git, you should already have cloned the project and made your changes (probably to your own branch, to make it easy on yourself). Just send me the patch using git diff remotes/origin/master (or whatever branch is tracking master).

Submitting Documentation

Contributing documentation is easy. If you have a new writeup or presentation to contribute, just email it to me (joseph@kdotp.org) and I'll integrate it into the site. If you have a change to existing documentation, either tell me what page it updates or submit it in a tarball. I'll integrate it into the site and into the project from there.

Donating Money

Lastly, if you cannot contribute patches or documentation (or because you really like the software ;) you can also contribute money to the project as well. Please note that the money goes directly to the head developer's PayPal account, not to any other groups or universities. This helps me pay the bills, i.e. rack space rental at the colocation facility. After the bills get paid, it will go to equipment. Some things I have in mind to buy are newer hardware, a mini-Fe cluster to test on, and GPUs. To donate money, use the PayPal button below. Unfortunately, I'm not a charity or anything, so you don't get a tax break on it, and I have to pay taxes on it. But them's the (lack of) breaks. :)
